Northridge Review is a literary & arts journal of the present, produced by students in the creative writing program at California State University, Northridge, and celebrating work of CSUN (students, staff, and alumni) writers and artists alongside work from the greater Los Angeles area. Submissions from beyond this local community will be returned unread.
For prose writers, please observe the following guidelines:
- Submit one longer prose piece (fiction, nonfiction, hybrid; 5000 word maximum), or one to three short prose pieces (under 1000 words each). Submissions in excess of these limits will be disregarded.
- Make sure to submit each piece with intention; submit each separately if your submissions are intended to be separate pieces and together if they are intended to be considered as a single piece.
- Submit your work as a .doc, .docx, or .pdf, using standard fonts, and remove all author identifying information from your manuscript.
In addition, please tell us a little about yourself, your interest in Northridge Review, and connection to CSUN. Be sure to note public social media handles that we may refer to in the event you are accepted.
